What to expect

Service information

Mac's Transport is a small, local, part-time service. This page explains, in plain language, how a request works and what we can and can't promise. Last updated July 2026.

A request is a request, not a booking

Sending the form, calling, or texting starts a conversation — it does not reserve anything. Mac reads every request personally, checks the day and the route, and then calls or texts you back.

Submitting a request does not guarantee availability. Mac will personally review the details and call or text to confirm.

You'll know your service is set when you hear from Mac — not before. If you haven't heard back and your day is getting close, please call or text; that is always the fastest way to reach someone.

Availability varies

Part-time service — days and times vary. Call or text to check availability.Mac's is one small local operation, not a fleet, so some days and times fill up and some requests can't be taken. Being told “not that day, but how about this one” is a normal part of how this works.

Please request as far ahead as you can — a day or more of notice helps Mac fit you in. Same-day needs are welcome when possible; for those, calling or texting is fastest.

Timing isn't guaranteed until it's confirmed

The date and time you choose on the form are what you'd prefer, and Mac will get as close to them as the schedule allows. Even after a service is confirmed, weather, road conditions, traffic, and how long a store or pharmacy takes can move things — if something changes, Mac will tell you.

Cost is discussed before anything is confirmed

The posted prices on the pricing pageare the Phase 1 service prices. Anything priced by destination or quoted — Transportation and Special Errands & Requests — is worked out with you when Mac calls, so you always know the cost before you agree to it.

After Mac confirms your request, you can pay securely online by card or arrange payment by cash or check. Card prices are shown before payment.

Please give us accurate details

The pickup address, destination, date, time, and phone number you provide are what Mac works from. A wrong address or an unanswered phone is the most common reason a service can't be completed, so please double-check them — and tell Mac as early as you can if something changes or you no longer need the service.

Mac's can only carry what's legal and safe to carry, and can decline any request. Prescriptions are collected only where the pharmacy allows someone else to pick them up on your behalf, and only with whatever authorisation that pharmacy requires.
