Dennis and Michelle McKinney
Owners, Mac's Transport
Mac's Transport was born from a simple belief: people who choose to live in small towns shouldn't have to give up the conveniences that make everyday life easier.
Dennis and Michelle McKinney love small-town living — the quiet roads, the slower pace, and evenings spent at home instead of fighting traffic or navigating crowded stores. It's the life they chose, and the one they want their neighbors to keep enjoying.
But life gets busy. Work is demanding. Families juggle schedules. Sometimes the last thing anyone wants to do after a long day is make another trip for groceries, dinner, a return, or an everyday errand.
In larger cities, many of those conveniences are already available — someone else can make the trip for you. Across Southeast Nebraska, they often are not. Mac's Transport exists to help bridge that gap.
What Mac's is really delivering
The goal is not simply to complete deliveries and services. It is to give people something even more valuable: time.
- Time with family
- Time to rest
- Time to enjoy the small-town lifestyle they chose
That's the whole idea behind Giving You More Time for What Matters. Every grocery run, prescription pickup, lunch delivery, and trip across town is time handed back to somebody who'd rather spend it another way.
Locally owned, personally run
As a locally owned business, Mac's Transport is committed to dependable, friendly service while supporting residents, local businesses, and the Johnson County community. There's no call center and no app to download — requests are reviewed by a real person who knows the roads, the towns, and the people.
That's also why nothing is auto-booked. Submitting a request does not guarantee availability. Mac will personally review the details and call or text to confirm.
How Mac's is starting
Phase 1 is focused on Johnson County, Nebraska, so every request can receive dependable, personal attention. Individual services may have more specific coverage limits — you can see each one on the pricing page or in the service-area section.
If you run a restaurant, store, pharmacy, clinic, church, farm, or workplace in the area, Mac's is also open to local partnerships.
